⚠️

Common Mistakes That Get Applications Rejected

Avoid These — We Check for All of Them

❌ Name doesn't match passport MRZ

Automated system rejects any mismatch between form and machine-readable zone.

❌ Passport has less than 6 months validity

Hard requirement — we check this before you pay.

❌ Photo doesn't meet Saudi standards

Must be white background, no shadows, no glasses, no wide smiles. Facial recognition is strict.

❌ Wrong visa type selected

ETA vs eVisa vs Hajj visa — choosing wrong wastes the non-refundable fee.

❌ Duplicate active visa exists

System blocks new applications if an unexpired visa is already linked to your passport.

❌ No Nusuk booking at airport

Visa alone is not enough — Nusuk verified hotel + transport required for entry.

Your Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the ETA for Umrah? +
Yes — the Saudi ETA covers tourism, business, short-term study, and Umrah outside of Hajj season. However, you cannot use it for Hajj — a separate dedicated Hajj visa is mandatory. You will also need a verified Nusuk booking (hotel + transport) to enter Saudi Arabia for Umrah.
What happened to the Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW)? +
The EVW was discontinued on 1 July 2026 and replaced by the Saudi ETA. The ETA is a significant upgrade: multiple entries (vs single), 2-year validity (vs 6 months), and 180-day cumulative stay. If you see websites still offering EVW applications, they are outdated.
Is health insurance included with the ETA? +
No. This is the most important difference from the Tourist eVisa. The ETA does not include any medical insurance. The Tourist eVisa includes coverage up to 100,000 SAR (~£20,000). We strongly recommend arranging separate travel insurance. Medical treatment in Saudi Arabia is expensive.
How long does the ETA take to process? +
Saudi decisions are usually instant or within minutes once submitted correctly. Our Standard service reviews and submits within 24–72 hours. Our Priority service aims for submission within 12 hours.
Can I apply for my whole family at once? +
Yes! This is one of our key advantages. You can add up to 6 family members in a single application. Share common details (address, contact), upload individual passports and photos, and pay once. Most competitors force you to fill in separate forms for each person.
What's the difference between ETA and Tourist eVisa? +
The ETA is specifically for British passport holders: 2-year validity, 180-day stay, ~£19 gov fee, no insurance. The Tourist eVisa is for 60+ nationalities: 1-year validity, 90-day stay, ~£110 gov fee, includes insurance. For UK citizens, the ETA is usually the better choice unless you specifically want bundled insurance.
Are you the official Saudi government visa portal? +
No. We are Travel Time Global, an independent UK travel agency based in Ealing, London. We are ATOL protected and licensed Umrah specialists. We are not affiliated with the Saudi government, MoFA, or the ksavisa.sa portal. We provide an assisted application service — checking your documents and submitting on your behalf to reduce errors and rejections. The official portal is ksavisa.sa.
